Senior CNC Machinist (Haas/Mazak/Okuma/Matsuura experience preferred - $55/hr)

Fulton River Partners is working with an incredibly fast growing family owned CNC shop in the Berkeley area. This shop is owner-operated is specializing in precision CNC machining of custom metal components for some of the world’s largest aerospace, electronics, and healthcare companies. They have an incredibly strong culture - while they of course value years of experience, they are unique that in that they are equally excited about hiring more junior level CNC professionals that can come in and learn, work their way up. They are looking for a talented 5 Axis Machinist to join their team onsite. Responsibilities:
  • Perform complex machine setup for horizontal and vertical mills, and lathes.
  • Working with a variety of materials (aluminum, stainless steel, bronze, etc)
  • Work with tool room to develop dies for the stamping shop
  • Work with planning / scheduling, operators & machinists to achieve quality and production goals
  • Can perform Set-up of Lathes or Mills
  • Understanding of GD&T
  • Work closely with engineering teams to provide crucial input on design for manufacturability
  • Open communication with engineers, management, and other team members
  • Design fixtures and tooling to setup complex machining operations for experimental parts
  • About You:
  • Minimum of five years of deep experience CNC Machinist experience, set-up and/or operation of CNC machines
  • Strong technical expertise; programming and applications support, fixture and tool design and selection
  • Knowledge of CAD/CAM programming, especially Solidworks.
  • Aerospace sector experience a plus but not required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to interact professionally with customers, sales, machinists and management
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment - willing to collaborate with and assist team members
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and troubleshooting skills
