Position Title : Senior Cloud Engineer -AWS
Reporting to : Senior Manager
Work Location : Bangalore
Eurofins is currently building a cloud environment to host their global security solutions. We are seeking people to support building it and later on – maintaining.
The Cloud Engineer supports creation of the Security Applications cloud environment and assists in aligning it with the security and business needs. He/She shall perform assignments related to configuration and deployment of the environment as well as related maintenance, with strong focus on the security aspects of used technologies. The role will be required to provide day to day management of the Security Applications cloud environment including support, maintenance, administration and continuous improvement.
Specific Assignments:
The main responsibilities of a Senior Cloud Engineer:
- Support the creation of a cloud environment together with the existing Cloud Architecture & SOC taskforces,
- Assist deploying and configuring the solutions,
- Provide daily support & service for the cloud infrastructure on which the security tools will be operated,
- Deliver continuous improvement & maintenance of the cloud environment,
- Create an automation framework and tooling for use in the cloud environment,
- Create and update the cloud environment documentation,
- Collaborate closely with the SOC Development and Administration and SOC Endpoint Protection teams in how the cloud platform and applications running on it, are managed.
Other Assignments:
- Support the team in day to day activities;
- Collaborate with the SOC and IT Security teams and management in other ongoing initiatives.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5+ years of professional consulting or enterprise experience as a Cloud Support Engineer/Architect.
Required
- Experience in the design of cloud-based environments,
- Public cloud platform expert knowledge, especially AWS (GCP or Azure is a plus),
- Background of a Linux/Windows system administrator or backend developer,
- Understanding of Next Gen Data Centre Networks (Cisco ACI),
- Have an understanding of on-premises technologies (e.g. VMware),
- Configuration management systems (e.g. Ansible, Chef, Puppet, VRA or similar) and container technologies (e.g. Kubernetes, Mesosphere, Docker Swarm),
- Understanding of CI/CD environments,
- Understanding of security, network, virtualization, load balancing, storage and database (on premise and in the cloud),
- Solid understanding of how to secure cloud services and data,
- All in all, have a solid engineering/technical background/hands-on experience with conceptualizing, strategizing and architecting cloud solutions.
Appreciated
- Experience in the cloud incident detection and handling,
- Experience in designing and executing cloud related processes,
- Experience in designing and executing cloud related programs,
- Relevant Cloud Certifications such as MCSE: Cloud Platform and Infrastructure, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS CSA Professional.
