Job Title: Senior Cloud Architect

Overview:
As a Senior Cloud Architect, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based solutions to meet the strategic objectives of our organization. Leveraging your extensive experience and expertise in cloud technologies, you will lead architectural design discussions, provide technical guidance, and drive the adoption of best practices to ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of our cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

Cloud Architecture Design: Design end-to-end cloud architecture solutions that align with business objectives, considering factors such as scalability, performance, security, and cost optimization. Develop architectural blueprints and provide technical guidance for implementation.
Cloud Migration Strategy: Lead the planning and execution of cloud migration projects, including assessment, planning, and execution phases. Collaborate with stakeholders to define migration strategies, identify migration candidates, and mitigate risks associated with the migration process.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Azure Resource Manager to automate the provisioning and management of cloud infrastructure. Develop reusable templates and modules to streamline deployment processes.
Cloud Security: Ensure the security of cloud environments by implementing best practices and security controls, such as identity and access management (IAM), encryption, network security, and compliance monitoring. Conduct security assessments and audits to identify and remediate security vulnerabilities.
Performance Optimization: Optimize the performance and efficiency of cloud-based applications and services through architectural enhancements, resource optimization, and performance tuning. Monitor key performance metrics and proactively address performance issues as they arise.
Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Design and implement disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity (BC) solutions to minimize the impact of service disruptions and ensure the availability of critical systems and data. Develop DR/BC plans, conduct regular testing, and automate recovery processes where possible.
Collaboration and Leadership: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software development, operations, and security, to drive alignment and ensure the successful implementation of cloud initiatives. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.


Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
7+ years of experience in cloud architecture, design, and implementation, with a focus on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Extensive knowledge of cloud services and technologies, including compute, storage, networking, databases, and security.
Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and practices, such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Azure Resource Manager.
Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Docker, Kubernetes, or ECS.
Solid understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance standards, such as PCI DSS, HIPAA, or GDPR.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Architect are a plus.
