Position Overview:

Socialpoint is thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled C++ Developer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for proposing, developing and maintaining key systems that power our games. You will collaborate closely with experienced game leads, product managers, and design teams to build efficient, scalable, and high-performance solutions that enhance the overall player experience.

What You'll do: 

• Define, architect & develop features and functionality in C++.
• Be a key member of a multi-disciplinary feature squad, cooperating with Engineering, Product, UI/UX, Game Design and QA - working within the Agile methodology
• Contribute to the full development life cycle of new and existing gameplay features, new systems, and maintain and upgrade existing systems. You will be involved in all phases: conceptualization, technical design, development, testing, and release.
• Integrate and improve internal libraries in collaboration with other teams.
• Give team and/or divisional tech talks on architectures that you’ve built
• Help other developers to grow their skills by providing support and mentorship.

What You Bring: 

• Exceptionally strong background in C++ covering C++11, C++14, C++17, C++20 features, with a deep understanding of topics like lambdas, move operations, and coroutines.
• Proactivity, eager to propose & implement technical improvements to our C++ games.
• Solid foundation in programming patterns, data structures, algorithms and software methodologies.
• Ability to quickly get up to speed with existing code and learn new concepts easily.
• Excellent communication & presentation skills (English is a must!)

Bonus Points: 

• Solid iOS & Android knowledge
• Experience working on cross-platform mobile games with a huge user base
• Knowledge of cocos2d-x
• Experience in unit testing
• Experience with backend technologies (Php, Go, AWS)
• Experience with games as a service.
