Join Box as a Senior Business Engineer supporting Marketing Systems, where you will play a key role in managing and enhancing our marketing technology stack. Collaborating with the Marketing Operations team, you will drive the optimization of marketing systems and applications to ensure seamless operations. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, effective communication abilities, and problem-solving expertise. You will leverage your deep understanding of marketing tools like Salesforce and Marketo to contribute to strategic initiatives that impact Box's marketing performance positively. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will lead innovative solutions for technical challenges, shape the roadmap for marketing systems, and deliver tangible value to our business stakeholders. This role offers an opportunity to be part of a dynamic IT organization focused on excellence in execution and service delivery.
What you'll do:
Platform Management: Develop and maintain marketing systems, specifically Marketo, Segment, and Iterable, ensuring seamless operation and integration with other GTM platforms.
Issue Resolution: Debug and resolve incidents promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to marketing operations.
Integration Expertise: Understand and manage data flows and integrations between various marketing systems to optimize performance and data accuracy.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with Marketing Operations, Sales Operations, and other GTM stakeholders to ensure enhancements and upgrades align with business requirements and priorities. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure comprehensive solutions are designed, developed, deployed, optimized in an efficient and continuously evolving manner to maximize value.
Data Integrity: Enhance data integrity in Marketo and Salesforce through effective design, maintenance, and security protocols.
Cross-Functional Projects: Participate in cross-functional projects involving Customer Success and related GTM systems, contributing technical expertise to achieve project goals.
System Implementation: Own technical deliverables, including technical design and quality assurance, ensuring successful implementation of scalable solutions.
Who you are:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related field
5+ years development experience with marketing platforms such as Marketo, TrustArc (preference management), Salesforce, and Customer Data Platforms (e.g., Twilio, Segment).
5+ years of system implementation experience, with a proven track record of managing technical deliverables, including functional design and QA processes.
Strong understanding of marketing processes, particularly lead-to-opportunity and opportunity-to-quote functions.
Extensive knowledge of marketing platform architecture and experience integrating with other applications/systems.
Exceptional ability to partner with business stakeholders, identifying process challenges and providing effective technical solutions.
