Senior Business Process and Systems Strategist

We are seeking a highly capable and motivated Senior Business Process and Systems Strategist to support teams across our business in strategic initiatives. This position is instrumental in improving the effectiveness and efficiency of our teams and organization as well as achieving key organizational objectives. The ideal candidate will have a well-established record of success in key business initiatives and will bring expertise in project ownership, stakeholder engagement, strategic analysis, data analysis, vendor evaluation, and operational optimization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Own and manage strategic initiatives for various teams across operations, marketing, revenue, and other business areas. Strategic initiatives will vary in nature but will often have a focus on optimizing business systems and leveraging data to drive key organizational outcomes.
  • Utilize business information and data to understand business opportunities and challenges, translating that information into recommended strategies, solutions, requirements, and actionable next steps. Collaborate and consult effectively with key stakeholders to make sure the needs of the business are defined and accounted for.
  • Evaluate the benefits, costs, and efficacy of vendor solutions as they relate to key business initiatives, providing crucial input for the selection or exclusion of vendors based on a variety of considerations.
  • Collaborate with teammates from all levels and business areas of the organization to ensure the success of strategic initiatives.
  • Provide independent oversight and assist in the processing of revenue team commissions.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, economics, finance, mathematics, or a similar field is a plus but not required.
  • Proven experience driving successful business outcomes through strategic initiatives as a project manager, product owner, management consultant, strategist, business systems analyst, or similar role is strongly preferred and will be prioritized over formal education.
  • Experience owning and managing key initiatives or products by engaging cross-functional stakeholders, defining objectives and milestones, tracking and reporting progress, and ensuring the overall success of the initiatives or products. 
  • Proficiency in translating business needs into clearly documented and achievable business actions and technical requirements.
  • Proficiency in mapping out business processes and customer journeys in a diagramming application (e.g., Visio).
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and methodologies; strong experience with Excel and Power BI is highly preferred.
  • Experience working with a variety of internal business systems such as customer relationship management systems (e.g., Salesforce, Zendesk, Microsoft Dynamics) marketing automation systems (e.g., Marketo, HubSpot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud), and e-commerce systems (e.g., BigCommerce, Kibo).
  • Understanding of the procurement process including vendor evaluation and cost-benefit analysis.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams and communicate complex information effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
