About the Job:

The Information & Technology Services department is looking for a Sr. Business Applications Analyst with a strong focus on implementing, supporting, and advancing enterprise-level construction projects and program management control systems, such as PMWeb. This role demands a proactive approach to enhancing our project management capabilities, ensuring that capital planning, cost management, and project delivery are executed with precision and efficiency. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with various departments to design, develop, maintain, and enhance our job costing solutions, contributing directly to the strategic goals of the San Diego International Airport.

What You’ll Do:

  • Project Leadership and Support: Act as the primary technology partner for ongoing design and construction projects, ensuring the successful adoption and functionality of PMWeb across the organization.
  • System Design and Maintenance: Provide design, configuration, and maintenance support for PMWeb, catering to the needs of capital planning, funding, cost management, and project controls.
  • Process Automation: Develop and support process automation workflows, data elements, and forms, enhancing operational efficiency and project delivery.
  • Integration Management: Develop and maintain integrations between PMWeb systems and other key systems such as JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, GIS, and BIM.
  • Technical Documentation and Training: Create functional and technical system requirement documents; support end-to-end business process testing of the PMWeb application; and conduct training sessions to enhance user competency and adoption.
  • Strategic Planning: Formulate project strategies, business cases, and roadmaps, leading cross-functional teams to integrate technological solutions effectively.

  5. Communication Skills - proficiently exchange information through various avenues including verbal, digital, written, facilitation and persuasion with both internal and external stakeholders.
  6. Technical Ability - ability to serve as the subject matter expert on specialized and/or technical tasks, projects and systems.

Requirements

The Experience You Need to Have**:

  • Five years of business systems application configuration, development and specifications design experience; or at least three years in a supervisory role with Enterprise business and application systems and/or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Graduation from a four-year college or university with a major in computer science, management information systems or a closely related field
  • Working knowledge of web technologies and databases

 

Preferred Experience, Certification, and Licenses:

  • Experience supporting end-to-end business process testing of PMWeb and/or similar ERP application preferred.
  • Project Management Institute certifications - PMP, PMI-PBA, PMI-ACP
  • Agile certifications - CSM, PSM, CAPM, KMP, DASM
  • Software development certifications CSDP, MCSD, AWS Certified developer
  • Database certifications OCP, AWS Certified Database, OCE, OCA, Microsoft Certified DBA, IBM Certified DBA -DB2
