ROLE DESCRIPTION

Capco are currently looking for Senior Business Analysts to join our FRRF (Finance, Risk, Regulation & Financial Crime) capability, specifically individuals from a market/credit/counterparty risk management background. The role would sit as part of our growing practice and work with Global Markets clients across FX, Rates & Commodities on their VaR & RNIV models as well as advising on OCC and FDR guidance.

As a wider function, the types of projects we cover are as follows:

  • Our clients are predominantly within Financial Services and look for support in delivering solutions to improve risk management practices and control frameworks. This may include Risk Assessments, Target Operating Model design and implementation, Risk Rating Methodologies and Models, Gap Analysis, data and reporting
  • Gap analysis and implementation of regulatory changes
  • Identification and implementation of technology and data solutions to support credit, operational, market, liquidity, and capital risk management processes.
  • As a Risk Management SME at Capco, you may be required to communicate risk policies and processes for an organisation, develop risk models involving market, credit, liquidity, capital and/or operational risk, ensure controls are operating effectively, and provide research and analytical support.
  • You will also be encouraged to support Capco in client account planning, business development and relationship building / networking within the Capco UK FRRF capability. This may include contributions to Capco’s Risk Management thought leadership.

SKILLS AND EXPERTISE

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience and will be able to perform the following activities:

  1. 6+ years’ experience - Market and Credit and Counterparty risk management experience ideally gained in a Global Markets (FX, Rates and Commodities) FICC Division
  2. The candidate must be able to prepare and analyse trade data and have a sound understanding and ability to use:
    1. VaR model
    2. RNIV model
    3. OCC Guidance – Regulatory Guidance for Market Risk
    4. FDR Guidance – Market Risk Capital Rule
  3. Derivatives (FX, Rates and Commodities) product knowledge 
  4. Data set analysis and manipulation using Excel
  5. Front Office desk – senior client stakeholder management
  6. Booking model / Legal Entity Model experience
  7. Business Analysis Treasury / Capital & Funding FICC Division
  8. Change and transformation delivery
  9. Powerpoint skills
  10. Attention to detail
  11. Communication skills

DESIRABLE BUT NOT ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  1. Project Management
  2. Trading desk hedging strategy
  3. Fundamental Review of the Trading Book (FRTB) Implementation
