SAP Fioneer ESG Solutions offers financial institutions a comprehensive solution to address their end-to-end ESG challenges across all departments. This cloud-native product revolves around an ESG Data Orchestration and KPI Engine, which transforms ESG data into actionable insights by integrating both internal and external ESG-related data sources to calculate key performance indicators in line with leading industry frameworks. The applications of this platform extend from regulatory compliance and managing physical risks to steering towards net-zero goals and exploring business opportunities like transition financing. Collaborating with stakeholders in the financial industry, we develop applications that empower them to extract tangible business value from ESG, going beyond mere reporting.

Role Description

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will find yourself shifting between a wide range of responsibilities:

• Requirement Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders (clients, sales team, regulators, etc.) to gather requirements, analyze user needs, and define acceptance criteria for product features.
• Sprint Planning: Work with the development team to plan and prioritize work for each sprint, ensuring that the team is focused on delivering the highest-priority items.

• Sprint Review: Participate in sprint reviews to demo completed work to stakeholders, gather feedback, and adjust the product backlog as needed.
• Product Backlog Management: Maintain and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring that it reflects the most valuable features and enhancements to be delivered by the development team.
• Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, gathering feedback, managing expectations, and communicating progress on the product.
• Decision Making: Make timely and informed decisions regarding product features, trade-offs, and priorities, balancing the needs of stakeholders with the constraints of time, budget, and resources.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks that may impact the successful delivery of the product, proactively addressing issues and dependencies.
• Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team, seeking feedback, identifying areas for enhancement, and implementing process improvements as necessary.
• Product Ownership: Take ownership of the product throughout its lifecycle, from conception, discovery to delivery, ensuring that it meets the needs of customers and delivers value to the organization.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Consultant, Business Analyst, or Product Owner in a comparable role within Agile software development or implementation environments in the Financial Services Industry.
• Holistic understanding of functional architectures within the banking and insurance sectors.
• Experience working with SAP products, ideally FSI specific software solutions, or comparable B2B software.

• Ability to create high-level wireframes, with proficiency in common tools such as Figma, Miro, Confluence, and Jira.
• Strong communication skills and a value-driven approach to product development.

• Excellent organizational and prioritization abilities, demonstrating a keen attention to detail and a focused commitment to delivering results.
• Deep understanding of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum, with practical experience working in Agile teams.
• Knowledge of product management principles and practices, encompassing requirement gathering, backlog management, and stakeholder engagement.
• Analytical mindset, adept at gathering and interpreting data to inform decision-making and drive continuous product improvements.
• Enthusiasm for ESG topics.
• Exceptional communication skills, with proficiency in both written and verbal English and German language skills
