About the Role:     

Reporting to the Director of Business Operations, the Senior Business Analyst role will play a critical role in building and shaping the BizOps function at AlayaCare. We are seeking an experienced data-driven, strategic thinker who is passionate about solving problems in a systematic way. The Senior Business Analyst will play a crucial role in driving data-driven decision making, optimizing operational processes, and leading projects which result in major impact on the future of the business and ultimately, better outcomes for our customers. This role provides an exciting opportunity to work closely with our Executive Team and to work in a global and fast-paced SaaS environment. 

A day in the life:   

  • Work closely with the Director of Business Operations to support efforts across some of AlayaCare’s highest priority cross-functional initiatives. 
  • Support and lead Operating System mechanisms including Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews and Board Packages .
  • Support strategic planning through primary and secondary research, quantitative analysis and modeling. 
  • Build a deep understanding of AlayaCare’s data, and design and execute analysis to drive novel insights and pragmatic recommendations.  
  • Craft executive-level presentations summarizing key findings and making recommendations. 
  • Own the problem solving of discrete pieces of BizOps projects and independently engage stakeholders to drive the answer forward. 
  • Establish yourself as an analytical expert and go-to resource for stakeholders across the company.  
  • Help build and shape the BizOps function at AlayaCare. 

What you bring to the team:  

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, Business, Commerce, Finance or a related field.
  • 4-6 years of demonstrated success in investment banking, management consulting, or other “BizOps” strategy / operations roles in related fields – a minimum of 2 years of experience in SaaS is preferred.  
  • Critical thinking & Ability to solve problems: Experience driving insights and solving hard problems with well-supported and pragmatic solutions.  
  • You have a love for data - and the insights it can bring to the forefront: Strong data management and analytical skills with superior attention to detail and a demonstrated track record of leveraging data to drive business impact. Experience with Looker is an asset. 
  • A collaborative approach: Excellent interpersonal skills and experience in highly collaborative environments 
  • Action orientation: A clear bias for action a tenacious ability to tackle challenges and get things done. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication: Able to concisely present complex information succinctly and clearly.

Location, and in-office requirements:

AlayaCare supports a flexible hybrid working model, expecting that our employees have a regular in-office presence at their closest office location while offering flexibility for some remote work. Our team encourages in-person collaboration and with this, the preferred candidate location for this position would be within the Greater Vancouver Area.
