What you’ll do
You will work with our product and marketing leaders to identify and understand opportunities, create data-driven recommendations, and support the implementation of new initiatives that help manage and improve business performance. Below are some example areas of involvement:
Key Functional Areas:
- Analyzing how we offer insurance as a payment method to enhance the customer experience
- Optimizing our subscription models to improve user retention
- Understanding the best online exam flows that allow customers the increased flexibility without disrupting the ease of ordering contacts
Data Analysis and Insights:
- Use SQL to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from various databases. Write sophisticated queries to support business needs and reporting requirements.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies, translating data into actionable insights that drive our business forward.
- Design interactive dashboards and visualizations in Tableau that present data-driven insights clearly and facilitate informed decision-making for collaborators.
- Collaborate with team members to capture, document, and prioritize business requirements ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines.
- Validate reporting data against source systems, ensuring accuracy and reliability in all our reports.
- Present findings and make recommendations to multi-functional teams and senior management, ensuring clarity and actionable insights.
Collaborator Partnerships
- Collaborate with the product team to define critical metrics, establish benchmarks for success, and create dashboards that allow marketers and product leaders easy access to relevant data
- Coordinate with engineering teams to ensure data accuracy and implement data stories, bridging the gap between business and the data teams
- Articulate analysis and recommendations to pertinent partners at various levels within the organization
- Align analytics initiatives with overall business objectives
- Provide thought leadership and mentorship on standard processes in data analytics
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering) or equivalent experience (2+ years) in a data analyst role within a corporate setting.
- Strong proficiency in SQL; one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, R) for analysis and manipulation
- Validated experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and a demonstrable understanding of standard processes in data presentation.
- Experience with Adobe Analytics and Databricks is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail and a data-driven mentality.
- Demonstrable ability to work closely in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey sophisticated information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
- Comfortable engaging with members at all levels of the organization, forming relationships that drive effective collaboration.
