Senior BrSE (Japanese speaking)

As we expand into the Japanese market, we are looking for a skilled Bridge Software Engineer (BrSE) who can effectively communicate between our development team and the Japanese-speaking team.

In this role, you will

  • Communicate effectively as a bridge between the Vietnam team and the Japanese team to understand requirements and translate them into a product backlog. Acting as the primary point of contact, and managing stakeholder expectations while constantly seeking to improve solutions;
  • Manage full lifecycle projects using Agile methods;
  • Participate in code if needed and design reviews to maintain our high development standards;
  • Perform basic design, detailed design, and test design creation/review in Japanese if needed;
  • Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meet quality standards by coordinating effectively with all stakeholders. The main responsibility is controlling the quality of deliverables.

What you will bring

  • We are looking for candidates who have these qualifications:

  • Technical Skills:
  • Min 4 years of experience in working as a BrSE, software project management, or similar position;
  • Solid experience in at least one program language (prefer PHP Laravel, Golang but not mandatory);
  • Have experience in participating in a series of required tasks (requirement hearing and analysis, basic design, detailed design);
  • Collaboratively work with stakeholders and core engineering teams to ensure the development of new features and functionalities to a high standard as per requirements.

  • Communication Skills:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Japanese and English (Japanese: JLPT N2 or equivalent and English: B1/B2 or equivalent);
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Preferred Experience:
  • Previous experience as a Team Leader, Project Manager (PM), or Business Analyst (BA);
  • Understanding about Japanese culture and Japanese working style;
  • Experience managing big projects;
  • Leadership potential, high responsibility, good teamwork spirit.
