Senior Backend Engineer

São Paulo, Brazil

We're looking for a talented and passionate Senior Software Engineer to join Wildlife's Cloud Economics team in São Paulo (Brazil).

As a Senior Software Engineer you will be responsible for producing the algorithms, models and automated tools needed to scale up the optimizing and alerting processes for Infra usage and costs. This person will also design and build intra-area solutions throughout the Operations department to reduce manual tasks and increase efficiency.

What you'll do

  • Be part of a high-output team, directly contributing to company results.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to devise solutions that meet business and technical expectations.
  • Design, develop, and maintain custom tools and software solutions to capture efficiencies in the usage of our technological resources (e.g. rightsizing models, anomaly detection systems).
  • Integrate various support tools, databases, and platforms to ensure seamless data flow and information accessibility for Telemetry projects.
  • Identify opportunities for automation within our processes and implement solutions that increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all tools, processes, and workflows to facilitate knowledge sharing.

What you'll need

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
  • Solid experience in software development and solution design.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Solid experience with at least Python and SQL
  • Experience in designing, implementing and monitoring distributed systems.
  • Experience with large scale services handling high volume of requests or data.
  • Experience with cloud computing services such as AWS.
  • Experience with API integrations.
  • Intermediate / Advanced level of English.
