About the role:
As a Senior Backend Engineer you’ll work within our Training Platform team. With the aim of enhancing customer experience, our training platform is undergoing a significant transformation phase to integrate into the broader SafetyCulture platform by migrating the SC Training services into the SafetyCulture platform infrastructure.
In this role you can expect to:
- Work on a major re-platform project migrating a legacy app to SafetyCulture's infrastructure
- Introduce Kafka capabilities to the SafetyCulture Training platform while working to enhance the performance and scalability of the product
- Mentor colleagues and use your technical experience to help lead the team on technical decisions
- Own the delivery of complex features, breaking down requirements and estimating the effort required for successful delivery
- Work in a hybrid working environment including at our HQ based in Surry Hills, Sydney
- Demonstrate SafetyCulture’s values (Think Customer, Open Honest Always, Better as a Team, Be Bold Bring Action)
You may be a great fit for this role if you have some of the following:
- Depth of knowledge in C# / .Net languages and SOLID Principles
- Past re-platforming project work experience (infra migrations from a monolith to microservice)
- Previous experience working in fast-paced working environments in increasing senior roles, particularly for SaaS companies
- Ability to leverage technical knowledge into leadership experience within an engineering team
- Knowledge and working experience with database and cloud services (AWS, Azure, etc)
- Experience with infrastructure technologies (e.g. Kubernetes, Service Mesh, Terraform)
