Whatnot is bringing it to the world through a community-first approach, starting in the U.S. where retail is a $5T market opportunity!

As our next Software Engineer you should have 5+ years of generalist software development experience in high growth startups, plus:

• Mastery of at least one language (we primarily use Python, Elixir, JavaScript, and are open to others) and an expert at data architecture.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Excellent product instincts. You first think about users rather than the best technical solution.
• You are known for shipping products and features lightning-fast.
• You’re an excellent problem solver and don’t need to be told exactly what to do.
• Proven track record of delivering features end to end.
• Product management and AWS/DevOps experience preferred.

💰Compensation

For US-based applicants: $153,000 - $200,000/year + benefits + stock options

The salary range may be inclusive of several levels that would be applicable to the position. Final salary will be based on a number of factors including, level, relevant prior experience, skills and expertise. This range is only inclusive of base salary, not benefits (more details below) or equity in the form of stock options.
