Bazaarvoice is looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join us in building the future of product discovery. As part of the Content and Creators product unit, you’ll be part of a team building products used by millions of consumers and thousands of businesses worldwide.

Responsibilities
Collaborate with Product Managers/ Designers and other Engineers to deliver new functionality and iterative improvements to customer-facing products and internal tools.
Build efficient, scalable and reusable services and APIs using Scala.
Ship frontend components in React
Lead technical design for new applications and features
Write and review technical design documents for new applications and features
Participate in code reviews with other engineers.
Focus on knowledge sharing with other engineers.
Identify and resolve scalability and performance issues.
Profile and improve large-scale database access patterns.
Focus on application performance and monitoring.
Participate in the on-call engineering rotation.
Essential Criteria
5+ years of demonstrated experience working in or building large-scale services or B2B SaaS companies
3+ years of detailed knowledge and working experience of Scala (or willing to learn and contribute)
3+ years of No SQL DB experience ( e.g. MongoDB Atlas, Cassandra etc)
3+ years of cloud architectures and platforms ( AWS is preferred)
High attention to detail, flexible and able to work concurrently on multiple projects
Ability to troubleshoot, research, and work through complex problems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Solid experience writing highly secure web applications
Desired Criteria
Experience with modern CI/CD tooling (Docker and Kubernetes preferred)
Experience with Caching
Experience with Micro service architectures
Experience with agile methodologies
