At HelpDesk, we craft a modern ticketing system designed to help businesses efficiently manage e-mail communications, automate tedious tasks, and maintain strong customer relationships.
We are constantly pushing the boundaries of what HelpDesk can achieve and our roadmap stands by it. Our team is at the forefront of incorporating AI-driven features, including smart reply suggestions and the automated identification of similar tickets, to enhance user experience. You’ll collaborate with two backend developers Jakub and Piotr. Beyond that, you’ll be part of a product team that includes frontend developers, product designers, and QAsall led by Rafał.
Our tech stack: We work extensively with Node.js and PostgreSQL, leveraging Redis, RabbitMQ, and Kubernetes to build scalable and high-performing systems.We’re also flexible with our tech stack, ready to explore new tools and pick the best ones for the job.
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop and refine backend services that power our product while keeping performance, scalability, and reliability top of mind.
- Optimize and maintain backend services that power our product and delight our users.
- Participate in shaping the product and decision-making about its backend architecture.
- Collaborate with other backend developers to get to know the product and discuss tech requirements.
- Work closely with our support team on solving complex customer issues.
You may be a good fit for this role if you
- Have strong experience in Node.js (TypeScript) and enjoy building backend services.
- Work on daily basics with SQL databases — we’re big fans of PostgreSQL.
- Are comfortable with Redis, RabbitMQ, and Kubernetes, especially in GCP environments.
- Understand how to develop robust, scalable code for growing products.
- Are interested in security, authentication, and protocols like OAuth.
- Nice to have: Experience with email technologies (DKIM, SPF, DMARC, etc.). Like to work in a changing business environment and is proactive in finding solutions
