As Senior Backend Engineer you will join our Software & Infrastructure team. You will work closely with our other engineering teams, which build the hardware, embedded software and controller for our heat pump, designing and implementing features across the entire stack. Our backend is built in NodeJS/Typescript, using MySQL and Redis, and OpenAPIspec for the API specification, connecting to the devices in the field over MQTT.
For this role, having leadership experience is a plus, as we see potential for this position to evolve into a Team Lead role over time, offering opportunities to guide and mentor others as the team grows.
What you will do:
Work on the backend of our apps and other interfaces, for customers, installers and internal teams.
Connect to various (cloud) datasources and API’s and help us architect the best infrastructure.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features and enhancements for backend and mobile applications.
Integrate with databases, third-party APIs, libraries, and SDKs to enhance functionality and performance.
Troubleshoot and resolve application bugs, performance issues, and other technical challenges.
Work with testing to ensure application stability and reliability.
Together with the team brainstorm ideas on how to improve our internal processes and help us grow.
