AFS is seeking a Senior Automation Tester to join a collaborative team of QA Engineers supporting testing efforts on an enterprise application for a high-profile federal client. You will be responsible for developing and implementing end-to-end testing strategies and tasked with transforming testing efforts into a continuous and efficient quality engineering function using quality processes, tools, and methodologies significantly improving control, accuracy and integrity. You will collaborate with stakeholders to ensure quality is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle, and work with test engineers, developers, architects and designers to scale testing efforts with cross-functional teams and create behavior driven scripts to support diverse scenarios.
Testing activities will include designing and writing both manual and automated tests from functional requirements and automating tests in Java using Selenium, and PyTest to validate both UI and API requirements. Automation will run on Jenkins or GitLab, and testers will review and report on results - coordinating with developers and creating defects as necessary. Testers will demonstrate new application functionality to product owners and coordinate UAT testing, as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement end-to-end testing strategies using quality processes and methodologies.
- Create and implement test plans.
- Monitor and manage test results, ensuring testing objectives have been satisfied.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure quality is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Design and develop test-driven engineering solutions and improve processes to deliver robust products and high-quality solutions.
- Scale testing efforts with cross-functional teams and create behavior driven scripts to support diverse scenarios.
Requirements:
- Minimum 7 years of professional experience in Quality Assurance Automation Testing with experience developing and implementing end-to-end testing strategies
- Minimum 4 years of professional experience using automation testing tools and frameworks - specifically Selenium
- Professional experience working with Java
- Professional experience using Jenkins or GitLab for automation
Bonus points if you have:
- Experience working with Serenity, Rest Assured for Automation
- Experience working with Python.
- Experience collaborating with stakeholders to ensure quality is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Experience transform testing into a continuous and efficient end-to-end quality engineering function using quality processes, tools, and methodologies significantly improving control, accuracy and integrity.
- Experience creating and implementing predictive and intelligent testing approaches based on automation and innovative testing products and solutions.
- Experience designing and developing test-driven engineering solutions and improve processes to deliver robust products and high-quality solutions.
- Experience scaling testing efforts with cross-functional teams and create behavior driven scripts to support diverse scenarios.
- Experience working with test engineers, developers, architects and designers to develop test plans and implement functional, automated tests.
