In the Senior Audit Manager role, you will use your analytical and organizational skills, as well as aptitude in risk management and compliance to contribute to the auditing process. 
 
You will ensure that all financial operations and controls meet standards and are error-free.
 
Typical assignments will include:
 
Accounting / Audit Assurance
  • Develop project plan and personnel scheduling
  • Oversee and direct a compliant and accurate audit process
  • Ensure that audit tasks are assigned to and completed by audit team members and review of working papers
  • Training and evaluation of staff and seniors
  • Ensure efficiency of internal controls
  • Supervise and coach junior and staff auditors
  • Preparation of financial statements disclosure, approval of footnotes, work papers, tax returns, management letters, agreed-upon procedures, and other attestation engagements
  • Prepare statistical and account analysis. Analyze client transactions and unusual situations and incorporate the appropriate tax and accounting effect to the transaction or situation
  • Recognize and resolve potential and/or existing problems with appropriate research and consulting if necessary
  • Present audit findings and find ways to increase compliance and efficiency 
Engagement / Client Management
  • Manage day to day client relationships
  • Serve as a member of the engagement team on specific client accounts, working as the lead on pre-engagement planning and development of final deliverables
  • Acquiring strong working knowledge of client’s business while building a strong working relationship with clients to gather information and resolve problems.
  • Determination of billings for engagements
Requirements
  • US Citizenship required
  • BS/BA degree in accounting and CPA Certification Required
  • 9+ years of proven experience as an auditor
  • Government Contracting Industry Experience
  • In-depth understanding of auditing and control practices
  • Updated knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
  • Organizational and leadership abilities
  • Strong research and writing skills
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Word
The salary offered for this position would be dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of this salary range is $130,000.00 - $150,000.00.        
 
All applicants must live in a commutable distance to Rockville, MD and be willing to work onsite "as needed".
