Purpose: The ATL Strategist is responsible for providing media solutions to the client. The Strategist, together with the internal team, works hand-in-hand with the clients’ marketing department and creative agency to ensure the development of effective and unique media campaigns. Based on given objectives, the Strategist applies their knowledge of media and to identify the most appropriate vehicles for building awareness of a client’s brand & meeting client objectives.
Strategy
•Define and lead media (ATL) strategy.
•Adopt, adapt and govern global strategy and guidelines where available and necessary.
•Create strong, compelling and strategic media recommendations on how different channels can be used to meet client objectives.
•Strive to deliver media solutions that drive key objectives to ensure budget efficacy and performance.
•Work in collaboration with the Client Partner, Planning, as well as implementation groups to develop budget allocations.
•Track and govern the implementation of the media strategic approach.
•Provide insights on emerging media and new opportunities.
•Build competitor/brand reviews to ensure execution of strategic actions.
•Actively participates in client/ vendor initiatives/ workshops ensuring media strategies receive the benefit of continuous research.
Relationship Management
•Be the key day-to-day contact for Account Leadership team.
•Ensure regular media update presentations to client e.g., trends, landscapes, hot topics etc.
•Maintain and develop strong symbiotic relationships with media partners/ vendors to contribute to best of business media strategy.
•Ensure you update and maintain your knowledge of the client’s organizational structure, planning process, marketing calendar and the needs of key stakeholders.
•Ensure that client relationships continue to be strengthened by the quality of our deliverables and client satisfaction with our work.
The Ideal Candidate
•Minimum 6 years’ work experience in a strategic role.
•Minimum 8 years' experience in ATL.
•Deep knowledge of ATL Channels.
•Experience working at a Media Agency.
•Presentation skills.
•Strategic Mindset.
•Strong understanding of the media landscape.
•Significant proven experience of working with multiple stakeholders, e.g., suppliers, advertising/marketing agencies, media owners.
•Understands business principles and good practice.
