Position Summary:

Grayscale is seeking an Associate, ETF Product to join the ETF Team. Reporting to the VP of ETF Product, successful candidates will have a passion for ETFs, product ideation and development, and the financial markets.  Our ETF Team is at the forefront of our ETF business, and the Associate will play a role in all phases of the product life cycle – from strategy and development to launch and post-launch support.

Responsibilities:

  • Support and contribute to the growth and development of the Grayscale ETF franchise through product strategy, ideation and development, and post-launch support.
  • Support the growth and development of all other aspects of the Grayscale ETF business, including capital markets, operations, distribution, and marketing.
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of existing and prospective investment strategies.
  • Demonstrate and apply in-depth product knowledge with respect to portfolio construction, strategy, and positioning across various market environments and use cases.
  • Play a key role in engagement with Index Providers on investment strategies and product design.
  • Develop, build, and deploy frameworks for analysis and intelligence gathering on the U.S. ETF marketplace and the competitive Funds landscape across different product wrappers and geographies. This includes industry macro trends, product trends, liquidity analysis and regulatory changes.
  • Analyze and report on key ETF market metrics such as ETF flow data, trading statistics, asset trends, etc.
  • Work with Compliance and Legal teams to ensure product development lifecycle plans are in compliance with applicable processes, procedures, laws, rules and regulations.
  • Help maintain Product Pipeline calendars, and prioritization and reprioritization of initiatives as needed. Monitor progress against target dates and milestones, escalate issues or obstacles, and provide status updates to key stakeholders.
  • Display sound judgment in resolving complex issues in a practical manner.

Prior Experience/Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate will have 2 – 6 years of related work experience.
  • Prior experience working at or with Fund Managers, ETF Issuers or Index Providers preferred.
  • Working knowledge and a passion for the U.S. ETF marketplace – including but not limited to primary markets, product landscape, market and regulatory trends and opportunities, etc.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, investment implications, portfolio construction, etc.
  • Written and communications skills and attention to detail is a must.
  • Strong interest in digital currencies, blockchain technology, and related concepts.
  • Strong experience and expertise with large data sets and investment and analytical tools such as Bloomberg.
