Typical Senior Associate background
To succeed at Partners in Performance, you need to be an outstanding academic performer and be dynamic, passionate, and prepared to roll up your sleeves and work inside our clients’ businesses. You need to care about people and developing them, as coaching is a big part of our success 

Here is what we look for:
Outstanding academic results University degree or equivalent experience with a strong emphasis on quantitative skills, especially: Engineering, Commerce/Economics, Mathematics / Science
(While we consider candidates from a broad spectrum of degrees, we place a strong emphasis on quantitative skills studied in commerce, engineering and science-based courses)
At least 3-4 years of consulting experience, or at least 4-6 years of experience in an operational role, with exposure to performance improvement ideally in mining/resources/heavy industry. Double degrees and Postgraduate degrees are highly regarded in our firm, and an MBA would be an advantage. Without consulting experience, an MBA degree is required.

What Senior Associates can expect when they join Partners in Performance
We look for distinctive candidates for Senior Associate positions for our North America practice.  The role of the Senior Associate is to facilitate the implementation of change management strategies within the client firm. This position starts in September 2025.
 
What you would be doing on a day-to-day basis:
·       You will analyze data to provide the fact base and consultation point for decision-making
·       You will facilitate the prioritization of projects, do root-cause analysis and determine the areas of the highest value within the client's business
·       You will learn to recognize when ideas are under or over-performing expectations and ensure effective prioritization of initiatives and appropriate pace of implementation
·       You will coach client analysts and line managers, sharing your skills and building relationships across the client business, using your network to ensure improvement plans are firmly based on the real-world clients operate in
·       Finally, you will draw on and develop your leadership skills to help build the client organization’s ‘wiring’ and to ensure the improvement effort is sustained by a culture of continuous improvement long after the PIP engagement is finished

What you will need to become a member of the Partners in Performance consulting team:
       Demonstrated passion for results, with a track record of achieving tough targets under pressure
       Excellent problem-solving skills, including the ability to structure and prioritize effort within an area and ask the right questions to get to root causes
       Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to coach, influence and build trust with senior managers and achieve results through managing a team, prioritizing the professional development of team members
       Strong communication skills, including the ability to construct compelling arguments supported by the right facts
       Show an ability to influence and effectively multitask and manage expectations/deadlines
       Demonstrated alignment with Partners in Performance values
 
What you will learn at Partners in Performance
 
At Partners in Performance, you will learn both the traditional management consulting toolkit plus the Partners in Performance business transformation methodologies; you will be coached to be able to coach and develop clients and colleagues (both junior and senior to you); and you will participate in a wide range of formal and informal training opportunities.  You will acquire many of the skills you need to position yourself for a future leadership position
 
Other requirements:
Ability to work in Canada or the United States is required and candidates need to have a preparedness to travel extensively, including internationally.  Partners in Performance does not provide sponsorship of any sort.
