Senior Associate, Account Manager

The Senior Associate, Account Manager  is a key client-facing role on GLG’s Financial Services Sales team that plays a vital part in GLG’s relationships with financial services institutions in EMEA. The role entails engaging & managing client relationships within the investment management segment, helping them fully realize the value of GLG’s platform. They will have responsibility to develop Enterprise and mid-sized firms, collaborating with a team of research professionals across multiple offices to bring new product ideas to market and to execute successful renewals.


Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Drive Commercial Success through Renewals and Product
  • Collaborate alongside Client Solutions professionals to develop account plans and engage with clients regularly to articulate the firm’s value proposition and uncover new growth opportunities for GLG
  • User mapping & enhance customer targeting and outreach while refining the firm’s value proposition in the segment.
  • Ownership of renewal
  • Identify opportunities to upsell other products (surveys, strategic projects) as an ancillary revenue stream
  • Demonstrated ability to form long lasting relationships with clients
  • Build relationships across all seniority levels (Analysts, Portfolio Managers, CIOs).
  • Strong equity content knowledge:
  • Keeping up to date with equity news in the market
  • Prepare presentations. Compiling data and building PowerPoint slides for client and internal meetings

An ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or above.
  • 1-4 years of work experience within a sales or client facing role in relevant industries such as: banking, business services, market research, consultancies and financial services, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills and fluent in English.
  • Successful track record working in a team environment
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise activities effectively, while ensuring a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Experience using Microsoft Office. Demonstrated expertise in the use of PowerPoint in particular
