The IT Infrastructure department is responsible for global infrastructure deliveries and operations in Statkraft. The department is part of a large IT organization with more than 150 employees delivering services in 19 countries from our own Data center’s and public cloud. Statkraft has been using cloud since 2015 and are now fully devoted moving most of our services to Azure. “Senior Architect Database” will join an experienced hybrid infrastructure and platform architect team. The team deliver new innovative architecture & design enabling business capabilities and services globally.

The position plays a crucial role in strategic planning, development of roadmaps, architecture& design, frameworks and technical principles for the future use of database and cloud data storage solutions. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and stay up to date with the latest trends. Delivering concepts and architecture to IT projects and collaboration with cross-functional teams is part of the role.

  •  Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field, with minimum 5 years of work experience.
  • Skilled in analysing business/system requirements to recommend suitable data solutions considering optimal solution, compliance, latency, systems integrations.
  • Experience delivering strategies, frameworks, and standards in an organization.
  • Experience with Azure data storage solutions.
  • Experience of database storage usage and backup.
  • Proficient in database solutions, governance, security, license management in Azure and on-prem environments.
  • Experience with Oracle, MS SQL, performance optimization, integration, transformation, and modernizing to Azure storage solutions.
  • Preferable exam AZ-305: Designing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions
  • Fluency in Norwegian and English
