Senior Application Support Engineer

The team will focus on developing and managing AI-based application platforms and assets. This includes overseeing all cloud and container applications from the BPCE-SA TES development team (Technology, Expertise, and Solutions) and supporting banking institutions within the BPCE group, including Banques Populaires and Caisses d’Épargne. Key responsibilities will encompass:

  • Data Projects: Implementing data initiatives on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Support for IT Establishments: Assisting with cloud and container projects, alongside ongoing maintenance (RUN activities) for these applications.

Additionally, the team will engage in one-off projects, proof of concepts (POCs), or experimental initiatives across various technologies and platforms, including AWS, GCP, Azure, and OpenShift for containers.

With expertise in various cloud providers, the team’s transversal mission is to support production teams throughout the entire lifecycle of projects, from initial development to production deployment or migration on platforms such as AWS, GCP, and Azure.

This team serves as a crucial link between production (ensuring application operability, monitoring, and deployment) and infrastructure teams (covering cloud, network, and security aspects).
 

Missions:

  • Within the scope of projects, defines the architecture of the solution in accordance with collected requirements and in coherence with the IT system.
  • Depending on the project, may be responsible for the overall definition of the technical solution and its implementation in collaboration with all technical stakeholders involved.
  • Develops target evolution plans for the IT system in line with the company's strategic directions.
  • Defines and maintains the company's technical architecture framework.
  • Ensures a comprehensive view of the solution, coordinating architectural work and various technical contributors within projects.

Qualifications and Hard Skills:

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in similar roles
  • Good knowledge on both Linux and Windows environments;
  • Good knowledge of scripting languages (Shell, Python and/or PowerShell);
  • Good knowledge of monitoring tools for web and java applications (ideally Zabbix or Grafana);
  • CI/CD and devops : Jenkins, XLDelpoy/Release, ArgoCD, Terraform
  • All Cloud providers : AWS, Azure, GCP
  • Private Cloud and Container : Kubernetes, Openshift
  • Security and network about container and cloud applications

 

Soft Skills:
 

  • Proficiency in English at a minimum C1 level (mandatory) and at least B2 level in French,
  • DevOps mindset,
  • Ability to keep up with a demanding and fast-paced environment,
  • Willingness to learn and evolve,
  • Good communication skills,
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • On call required
