About the role

The Senior Analyst, Pricing and Portfolio Strategy supports developing on strategies to achieve team or larger organization targets. The Senior Analyst, Pricing and Portfolio Strategy has a focus on using data-driven approaches and partnering with teams to develop and implement strategies. The Senior Analyst, Strategic Planning works with leadership to identify and address challenges, develop long-term strategies, and contribute to important decisions impacting the organization.

You will report to the Director, Financial Planning & Analysis.

Pay Transparency:

The base pay for this role is: $76,800 - $100,800 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar’s unlimited vacation program and annual performance bonuses.

Responsibilities

  • Craft recommendations using a data-driven approach combined with business for senior executives to make pricing decisions that affect our growth and bottom-line
  • Collaborate with Actuarial, Regional Leaders, Plan Design and Sales teams to develop a winning portfolio strategy for each Oscar market
  • Identify and research profitability tradeoffs, market trends, and membership insights to help drive company-wide strategic decisions
  • Support build models and tooling that produce actionable business insights, including membership scenario modeling
  • Support development of activity based financial models to support finance and business strategic initiatives
  • Report intra-year membership analytics to leadership to understand health of the business
  • Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree or 4+ years commensurate experience
  • 1+ years experience in consulting, corporate strategy, market development, finance, or a related field 
  • 1+ years experience in Excel and Powerpoint, demonstrating proficiency in building models and generating reports, analyzing large datasets, using pivot tables, formulas, and conditional formatting. 
  • 1+ years Experience synthesizing and summarizing findings through data visualizations and effective storytelling
  • 1+ years experience running data and financial analyses and working cross-functionally to drive opportunities and increase growth & profitability
  • 1+ years experience in constructing presentation materials aimed at Senior Leadership

Bonus points

  • Healthcare experience and an understanding of provider/payer market, particularly in the ACA marketplace, is strongly preferred
  • Management consulting, market research, or data analysis experience
  • Experience with Tableau

Pay Transparency:  Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education, and experience.
