Senior Analyst, Internal Controls

Venture Global LNG (“Venture Global”) is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. The company’s Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, Venture Global’s modular, mid-scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost.

We are seeking a Senior Analyst, Internal Controls to join our Accounting team. This position will report to our Director, Internal Controls, Policies and Special Projects and will be responsible for assisting with the design, planning, socialization, adoption, and successful implementation of Venture Global’s controls program, as well as the program's ongoing operation and maintenance. 

This position will be located in Arlington, VA and the expectation is 5 days a week in the office (1001 19th Street, Arlington VA 22209).

Responsibilities:

• Document, implement, and maintain program of internal controls
• Understand and document key finance and accounting policies and procedures
• Support strategic projects and process building and improvement initiatives
• Support performance of annual and ongoing risk assessments
• Develop and execute testing programs, to the extent necessary
• Assist with processes and controls over applications and systems, including master data processes and access controls
• Support other special projects and compliance initiatives as needed

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience in an internal controls’ role
• Current CPA or CIA designation preferred
• Solid understanding of internal control methodology, practices, US GAAP
• Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
• Well-developed project management and coordination skills
• Sound working knowledge of ERP systems
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
• Discretion in dealing with confidential material
