Job Description:

Hellofresh is looking for a Sr. Financial Analyst to join the FP&A team and provide in-depth, insightful analyses to help make strategic investment decisions and contribute to the overall growth of HelloFresh.  The candidate will work cross-functionally with other business areas, focusing on the Marketing team. You will be responsible for developing methodologies, dashboards, and models to enhance and maintain our weekly reporting and quarterly budgeting.  To be successful in this role you must be data driven, have a solid understanding of financial results, have strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

 Responsibilities  

  • Develop and maintain scalable financial reports and models to validate and communicate weekly business reviews, KPIs, and quarterly/annual forecasting cycles.
  • Arm business leaders with data necessary to make vital marketing investment decisions by helping them interpret analyses and measure progress against outlined goals
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to track our customer acquisition investments and deliver reporting tools that accurately measure marketing channel performance (ROI)
  • Collaborate with the Accounting team on a variety of initiatives, including but not limited to the monthly close process
  • Investigate month over month variance and follow up with Marketing functions within the organization to gain an insightful understanding of the variance drivers and trends
  • Own the monthly reporting, analysis and commentary for indirect spend budgets
  • Assist in planning exercises and the quarterly and annual budgeting cycles for all verticals of HF US.
  • Engage in data analytic discussions during business review meetings with cross-functional business stakeholders and business managers
  • Complete ad hoc financial modeling and analysis

At a minimum, you have...

  • 2-4 years of progressive experience with financial reporting (FP&A), modeling, accounting, and/or planning
  • BA/BS required, preferably in Finance/Accounting, or equivalent directly related work experience required
  • Strong understanding of financial drivers (P&L) and accounting rules 
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience in financial modeling
  • Problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to mine and aggregate raw data from a variety of sources
  • Experience in SQL and Tableau

A plus if you have...

  • Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning
  • Experience within / solid understanding of Growth Marketing channels is a plus
  • Experience within / solid understanding of food and/or subscription businesses
