Senior Analyst, Data Operations and Tooling

Spotify is seeking a Senior Analyst for Data Operations and Tooling in the Advertising Sales Operations organization. This role focuses on data quality management, CRM Data Governance, and supporting tooling enhancements to empower our sales, customer support, and marketing teams. As a key contributor to the Data Operations and Tooling team, you will analyze, monitor, and implement solutions that ensure the accuracy, integrity, and usability of our CRM data, driving operational excellence and informed decision-making. What You’ll Do
  • Ensure CRM Data Integrity: Analyze and address data quality issues, including identifying duplicates, inaccuracies, and inconsistencies in CRM data, and implement proactive solutions to maintain near-zero errors.
  • Support Tooling and Process Improvements: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements for tools and processes, assist in testing and rollout of enhancements, and provide actionable feedback to improve operational efficiency.
  • Monitor and Report on Data Quality: Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor CRM data quality metrics, identify trends, and provide insights to key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Partner with sales, customer support, marketing, and engineering teams to align on data requirements, governance standards, and process improvements that meet business needs.
  • Contribute to Data Governance Standards:Support the development and enforcement of data governance policies, ensuring compliance with established standards and improving the reliability of CRM data.
  • Provide Stakeholder Training and Support: Assist in creating training materials and providing guidance to stakeholders on data governance best practices, ensuring adherence to policies and efficient use of tools.
  • Data Analysis and Quality Expertise: Strong background in analyzing and addressing data quality issues, with experience in implementing scalable solutions to improve data accuracy and reliability.
  • CRM Proficiency: Deep understanding of CRM systems like Salesforce, with experience in managing and optimizing CRM data for operational and strategic purposes.
  • Analytical and Technical Skills: Proficiency in data tools like SQL, Tableau, and Excel, with the ability to extract insights, identify trends, and resolve complex data challenges.
  • Process Improvement Focus: Demonstrated ability to identify inefficiencies in processes, propose enhancements, and contribute to the development of innovative solutions.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams and translating technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Who You Are
  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis, data management, sales operations, or a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, data science, computer science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience working for a leading digital advertising platform is strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing outsourced sales operations or supporting large-scale ad sales organizations.
  • Proficiency in analyzing operational sales data, including revenue metrics, ROI, and sales efficiency.

  • This position will be based in New York, Los Angeles or San Francisco
  • We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best. There will be some in person meetings, but still allows for flexibility to work from home. We ask that you come in 2-3 times per week.
  • The United States base range for this position is $89,000 - $127,143 plus equity. The benefits available for this position include health insurance, six month paid parental leave, 401(k) retirement plan, monthly meal allowance, 23 paid days off, 13 paid flexible holidays, paid sick leave. These ranges may be modified in the future.
