The Senior AIT Engineer will participate in the E-Space Satellite Assembly Integration and Testing activities.
Your activity will focus on Spacecraft SubSystem acceptance, EM flatsat activities, and FM AIT.
As part of the E-Space AI&T team, located in Los Gatos, California, you will have the opportunity to test thousands of flight hardware units and directly contribute to the success of an innovative satellite architecture on-orbit.
Your responsibilities
1: Spacecraft SubSystem acceptance:
You will organize the acceptance of the Spacecraft SubSystems before their integration to Flatsat (EM), or to Satellite Structure (FM).
2: EM flatsat activities:
Your contribution to EM flatsat activities will include:
- Definition of the Verification and Validation (V&V) requirements for the activity
- GSE definition and procurement
- Satellite procedure creation and execution on the flatsat
- Result collection
- V&V requirement Statement of Compliance
You will also have the opportunity to participate in the spacecraft unit qualification test campaigns.
3: Your responsibilities in FM AIT activities:
- GSE definition and procurement
- Satellite procedure creation and execution on the FM Spacecraft
- Result collection
- V&V requirement Statement of Compliance
- FM Satellite environmental test Campaign
Your experience
You have a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering
You have 7+ years of experience in spacecraft engineering
You have already participated with a satellite AIT campaign
You have a good understanding of spacecraft subsystem development, and have been involved in the development of at least one of them
You have an understanding of electrical test equipment, test procedures, data acquisition systems and instrumentation
Experience in environmental testing such as vibration, shock, thermal, and TVAC
You have programming experience in Python, MATLAB/Simulink
You have demonstrated success working in a dynamic environment
Additional experience
Experience with radiation effects testing
Project/program management skills
$100,000 - $170,00 a year
The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position in question, which is based on market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change.
