Position:
We are looking for a Senior Accounting Consultant to be based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
Reports to: Head of the Cambodia Tax Practice
Key external relationships: Clients, Government Ministries, Chambers of Commerce, Business Associations
Key internal relationships: Head of the Regional and Cambodian Tax Practice, Taxation & Accounting team, Partners and Advisers, Managing Director, Deputy Managing Directors, Senior Managers
Salary range: Competitive, varying based on the qualifications and experience of the successful applicant and the needs of the Practice.

Working Hour: Mon-Fri, 8am –12pm and 2pm – 6pm
Location: Phnom Penh, Cambodia
Main duties of the role
- Assist to prepare the business planning and strategy, one-off bookkeeping, Finance due diligence to monthly and yearly financial preparation for all engagement;
- Assist to prepare consolidation, merger & acquisitions, revenue recognition, and leasing;
- Assist to set up accounting policies and accounting for clients;
- Assist to review the daily bookkeeping with proper supporting documents;
- To finalize the Bookkeeping, and produce monthly, yearly Financial statement, one-off financial reporting, matter report, and management reporting base on CIFRS;
- Assist client in preparing the accounting plan and support in implementation of changes to the accounting systems;
- Assist to review and finalize the payroll working, ToS/ToFB calculation and NSSF filling;
- Peer review the work of more junior staff and provide constructive feedback as necessary;
- Help develop firm thought-ware on financial technical, accounting and reporting matters;
- Keep up to date with any developments relating to accounting, tax and customs laws, regulations and practice;
- Keep accurate time records;
- Participate actively in the Firm’s business development efforts, including government relations, various chambers of commerce, business clubs, and other relevant groups; and
- Participate in knowledge management, professional development, and Firm administrative activities as requested; and
- Undertake other duties as may be required of you from time to time
Requirements
Essential skills & proficiency
- Holds a professional accounting qualification and/or at least three (3) years relevant work experience;
- Attention to detail
- Excellent time management and client management skills
- High communication skills in English (both verbal and in writing)
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and to operate in a multi-cultural environment
- Honesty, reliability, and a commitment to strict confidentiality
Desirable:
- Prior experience working at a professional services firm is an advantage;
- Prior experience working in a multicultural workplace is an advantage;
- Friendly and approachable, with good people skills; and
- Languages other than English and Khmer would be an advantage.
