What You'll Do 

The position of Senior Accountant for Trust Automation will directly contribute to Trust Automation’s success by providing professional level, cross-functional accounting support that is analytical, evaluative, and advisory in nature for the company. The Senior Accountant level is a more advanced accounting role. Trust Automation is a government contractor and although not required, a person with government contract accounting experience would be of great benefit to this position.

You know you are a perfect fit as a Trust Automation Senior Accountant if you can:

  • Direct contribution to month-end and fiscal year-end close process
  • Conduct financial analysis and reports
  • Contribute to and support yearend audit process
  • Design and perform internal audits
  • Support government contract compliance and reports
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of overhead rates and labor tables
  • Complete incurred cost submission
  • Support government rate audits and cost and pricing data compilation
  • Support with pricing rates and bidding on new contracts
  • Prepare tax schedules for sales tax, quarterly estimates, and yearend reporting
  • Support testing in ERP implementation project
  • Partner with accounting team, learning each position’s responsibilities for backup
  • Perform Supervisory Responsibilities
    • Review the teams work and provide direction as needed (no direct reports)

Position Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related area.
  • Minimum of three years of varied professional experience in accounting.
  • Good working knowledge of GAAP, Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel skills), experience using an ERP system.
  • Ability to lead meetings with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to examine financial documents for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with established policies and procedures.
  • Ability to independently problem solve. Ability to review the work of others, identify and correct errors.
  • Ability to solve more complex accounting problems.
  • Excellent communicator, attention to detail, team player.
  • Ability to prioritize and work independently to manage your own schedule and deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Preferred Requirements
    • Experience using Microsoft Dynamics D365 Finance and Supply Chain
    • Experience working in manufacturing or government contracting
    • Understanding of government contract accounting concepts like incurred cost model, value added base method, and Federal Acquisition Regulations

Physical Requirements

  • Hearing and speaking to exchange information in person, on the telephone or virtually.
  • Dexterity of hands, fingers, and wrist to operate a computer keyboard, calculator, or assemble/manufacture intricate items.
  • Seeing to read a variety of materials.
  • Sitting or standing for extended period of time.
  • Physical agility to lift 20 pounds to shoulder height.
  • Physical agility to lift, carry, push, or pull objects.

Pay/Salary Information Pay scale for this position - $85,000.00- $105,000.00 annually
