Senior Accountant

As a member of our Accounting team, you’ll play a key role in monitoring and maintaining our company’s financial success. This role offers the opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to collaborate with a team of dynamic colleagues at the intersection of tech and pharmaceutical science.

What you’ll do:

  • Assist in the Company’s quarterly and annual audit by coordinating with outside accounting firms to provide timely support to our external auditors
  • Aid in monthly and quarterly close procedures and financial reporting, including SEC filings
  • Help research complex accounting issues and resolve significant and/or non-routine accounting transactions
  • Read, analyze, and interpret accounting pronouncements, professional journals, technical procedures and governmental regulations to prepare documentation and accounting position memos
  • Assist in researching and planning implementation of new accounting pronouncements
  • Facilitate our work with outside accounting firms to prepare the Company’s federal and state tax returns by supplying financial statements, supporting schedules, and reconciliations as needed
  • Support the assembly of supporting documentation for outside accounting firms for annual tax studies, including but not limited to: research and development credit studies, annual 382 study, and annual transfer pricing analysis for foreign locations   
  • Facilitate internal control compliance by documenting accounting and internal control policies and procedures

What you should have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • At least four years of professional accounting experience in a corporate environment or two years’ relevant experience at a CPA firm (CPA designation preferred)
  • Proficiency with spreadsheet programs such as Microsoft Excel, as well as accounting software and other software
  • Familiarity with SOX and tax accounting is a plus

Estimated base salary range: $85,000 - $115,000. Actual compensation package is dependent on a number of factors, including, for example, experience, education, degrees held, market data, and business needs.
