Senior Accountant - Financial Reporting & Controlling

Beekeeper are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our growing Finance team. 

A newly created role, you will help us to build strength in financial reporting and controlling, take a lead role in our US GAAP audit, and oversee the implementation of new tools and scalable processes as we support the company’s ambitious growth plans.

Reporting to the Head of Accounting, you have a desire for autonomy and a broad scope of responsibilities. You like things to be done efficiently and are not afraid to get hands on with processes in order to drive process change from the frontline. A team player, you enjoy sharing knowledge and trying out new ideas with your peers in the Finance team, as well as building relationships with stakeholders across the company.

How you add Value

Take a leading role in our first year group audit under US GAAP - you are comfortable with handling auditor requests, preparing quality working papers, and resolving escalations.

Use our Internal Control System as a lever for excellence - identify improvements to the efficiency and effectiveness of our controls, implement new controls and processes, monitor and test controls.

Manage projects from design to completion - from system implementations to process improvements, you work methodically and transparently, holding yourself and your project members accountable to clear roadblocks & deliver to deadlines.

Day to Day Responsibilities

  • Support operational processes in AP, AR, Payroll & GL and define and monitor metrics and KPIs to support data driven decisions.
  • Support monthly and quarterly close activities including preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations and reviewing the work of team members. 
  • Preparing quarterly consolidated financial reporting under US GAAP including transfer pricing adjustments and analytical review procedures.
  • Liaise with local accounting providers on financial reporting, transfer pricing and direct and indirect tax filings including the preparation of Local GAAP reporting pack.
  • Analyze technical accounting or tax issues, prepare memos and provide accounting guidance as required.
  • Provide timely and accurate ad hoc reporting to internal stakeholders as required.
  • Mentor other team members.

What we look for in you

  • Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, CA or equivalent)
  • Full Professional Fluency in English (C1+)
  • 5+ years’ of relevant experience (Record To Report or Audit preferred)
  • Accountability and the ability to plan, prioritize & execute work to deadlines
  • Proactive with a creative, continuous improvement mindset
  • A strong communicator able to represent the team cross functionally.
  • Strong Excel skills and able to work with data across multiple systems
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast paced dynamic environment

Bonus Points

  • Experience in a scaling up technology or SaaS company
  • Experience in public accounting (audit experience preferred)
  • US GAAP expertise
  • Experience with SAP Business ByDesign / Lucanet / Chargebee
  • German or Polish language skills 
  • Tax experience
