We are seeking a highly motivated and Senior Accountant/Controller to join our dynamic Finance team in Luxembourg. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations. You will be responsible for a variety of accounting and controlling activities, working with the Finance team and reporting to the Chief Financial Officer Luxembourg.
Key Responsibilities:
General Accounting:
Oversee day-to-ay accounting operations, ensuring compliance with local GAAP and IFRS
Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules
Review and analyze balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Prepare and submit VAT and other tax returns
Order to cash process (from order receipt, to invoicing to customer payment):
Assistance in monitoring and creating projects in the accounting system;
Assistance in monitoring the encoding of hours and receipt of monthly timesheets;
Monthly invoicing.
Payroll Process:
Preparation of data to be provided to the fiduciary for the monthly preparation of salaries;
Regular contact with the fiduciary;
Accounting for salaries + expenses.
Controlling:
Develop and maintain internal controls to ensure the safeguarding of assets and the accuracy of financial information
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Reporting:
Assistance in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and external stakeholders (with strict adherence to deadlines)
Assist in the preparation of the annual statutory audit
You have a bachelor's or master’s degree in accounting ; Finance, or a related field is an asset
You have 2-5 years of relevant experience in accounting and/or controlling
You have a strong understanding of Luxembourg GAAP and IFRS
You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
You are fluent in English and French (written and spoken)
You have experience with an accounting software or an ERP;
You have an excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, especially Microsoft Excel;
