Senior Accountant/Controller

We are seeking a highly motivated and Senior Accountant/Controller to join our dynamic Finance team in Luxembourg. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations. You will be responsible for a variety of accounting and controlling activities, working with the Finance team and reporting to the Chief Financial Officer Luxembourg.

Key Responsibilities:

• General Accounting:

  • Oversee day-to-ay accounting operations, ensuring compliance with local GAAP and IFRS

  • Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules

  • Review and analyze balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness

  • Prepare and submit VAT and other tax returns

• Order to cash process (from order receipt, to invoicing to customer payment):

  • Assistance in monitoring and creating projects in the accounting system;

  • Assistance in monitoring the encoding of hours and receipt of monthly timesheets;

  • Monthly invoicing.

• Payroll Process:

  • Preparation of data to be provided to the fiduciary for the monthly preparation of salaries;

  • Regular contact with the fiduciary;

  • Accounting for salaries + expenses.

• Controlling:

  • Develop and maintain internal controls to ensure the safeguarding of assets and the accuracy of financial information

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy

• Reporting:

  • Assistance in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and external stakeholders (with strict adherence to deadlines)

  • Assist in the preparation of the annual statutory audit

• You have a bachelor's or master’s degree in accounting ; Finance, or a related field is an asset

• You have 2-5 years of relevant experience in accounting and/or controlling

• You have a strong understanding of Luxembourg GAAP and IFRS

• You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• You are fluent in English and French (written and spoken) 

• You have experience with an accounting software or an ERP;

• You have an excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, especially Microsoft Excel;
