The Role

We are looking for a Senior Account to innovate, win, and grow with us. Position is located onsite or Hybrid in the Portsmouth, NH corporate office.

The Senior Accountant is an experienced member of the corporate accounting team.  The Senior Accountant is able to work with minimal direction and is responsible for more complex, higher risk responsibilities than our staff accountants.   These must be self-driven individuals with capable of exercising judgment and learning in a complex accounting environment.  The Senior Accountant may directly supervise staff accountants and/or associate/specialist level resources in the completion of their work. 

How you’ll contribute

  • The position requires completing month-end close procedures; journal entry calculation and processing, general ledger account analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, monthly accrual calculation and review of various areas of higher complexity.
  • Support the preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting and participate in the global consolidation.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies including the accounting for leases under ASC 842.
  • Coordinate monthly accruals, schedules, and associated reporting.
  • Preparation and communication of our global intercompany balances in coordination with tax, finance, and international accounting teams.
  • Work collaboratively with business functions to obtain data and inputs to complete the monthly close.
  • Ongoing projects related to processes improvement initiatives around key corporate accounting functions.
  • Researching and concluding on transactions for proper accounting treatment and coding.
  • Preparing support schedules for external auditor requests.
  • Supporting ad hoc accounting projects.
  • May involve review of staff work.

  • Strong analytical and communication (written and verbal) skills
  • Strong attention to detail and able to consistently and timely produce quality, accurate work
  • Ability to work independently, and also to work in a collaborative, team environment
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP
  • Experience with ASC 842
  • Experience working in a large ERP System
  • Microsoft D365 experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • At least 2-3 years of professional experience, including experience working in a fast paced (public company like) environment.
  • CPA license preferred but not required
