Responsibilities:

This role will be actively involved in monthly close processes by performing employee salary and benefit related accounting activities including, but not limited to the below topics:

401k,
flexible spending account (FSA) account reconciliations,
vacation accrual,
accrued bonus,
accrued benefits, and
salary and wage reconciliations to the payroll register.

Post and reconcile other accounts receivable.
Prepare balance sheet fluctuation analysis as part of the month end closing process.
Work closely with various internal teams to ensure the completeness and accuracy of data used for accounting purposes.
Support the annual audit process by assisting with requests from external auditors and working to resolve open audit inquiries timely.
Actively participate in process improvement efforts and drive automation of routine processes within the Accounting Team.
Support ad hoc tasks, as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Commerce Graduate / Bachelor of Commerce Honors Graduate
Chartered Accountant
Big 4 experience in audit or tax
3+ years of experience working in an accounting function; prior public accounting experience
Proficiency with tools such as Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with enterprise software (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, Workday), a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and time management abilities
Positive attitude and flexible, willing to jump in wherever needed
Team oriented, ability to multi-task, proactive and consistently meets deadlines
Willingness to work until 2PM EST during initial onboarding, month end close and for key projects for overlap with the US team
