Senior Account Manager

The account team at Media.Monks is comprised of people who are champions of great creative, driving strategy and results. Senior Account Managers at Media.Monks are responsible for leading key pieces of business and guiding the execution of work that the agency produces. They provide excellent client service, applying the agency’s best resources and effectively collaborating with people across departments to ensure that programs are flawlessly executed on-time and on-budget.

All Account roles are inherently leadership roles - responsible for inspiring great creative through confident decision-making, positive collaboration, quick problem-solving, and effective communication. 

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Media.Monks colleagues to deliver integrated solutions for the client’s social campaigns, including social media marketing, influencer marketing, audience engagement, social strategy and insights, content creations, and more. 
  • Be accountable for client campaigns from inception through completion and proactively managing expectations along the way.
  • Help define the scope for each project, ensuring proposals meet the client’s brief and objectives.
  • Develop strong relationships with the client team and act as a bridge between the client and our internal Monks across the company.
  • Prepare client presentations with minimal supervision; lead client calls with confidence and maintain the control of the conversation.
  • Be intimately familiar with the client’s brand, product, market conditions and competitors. 
  • Work as a strategic partner to the client and actively identify new opportunities to better serve their needs.
  • As needed, plan and execute in field social media campaigns, including event coverage and influencer engagements.
  • Ensure all work is accurate, reflects client comments, meets brand standards, and is on strategy.
  • Stay on top of all aspects of a project, always able to explain the status, timing implications and budget implications at each step. Always be two steps ahead on your projects.
  • Champion the agency perspective convincingly with clients. Must be persuasive and articulate when communicating work and ideas, and comfortable challenging poor client feedback. 
  • Demonstrate passion for the agency, the work and the client’s business.

Qualifications: 

  • 6+ years of experience working at a social advertising or marketing firm, client side or start up
  • A deep understanding of the ins and outs of producing large social campaigns. 
  • A keen knowledge of the business objectives of brands and can quickly grasp their challenges and opportunities, identifying exactly what needs to be achieved from the get-go.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster optimal department and client relationships
  • Ability to head off potential conflicts and problems before they materialize, and have strong problem solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and willingness to take assignments readily
  • Desire to maintain and continually improve personal knowledge base
  • Ability to change course of action when appropriate or necessary
  • Superior organization skills and be detail oriented
  • Professional and positive attitude
  • Experience supervising direct reports
  • Ability to juggle and lead multiple assignments
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience as a direct liaison between the brand marketers and the agency
  • The ability to work in a collaborative manner with all agency departments and the client
  • Ability to communicate feedback clearly and succinctly, both internally and externally

Media.Monks has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what Media.Monks may pay for the position at the time of posting.
