We’re now looking for an Account Manager to join our sales team!
Omdia’s Account Managers are responsible for selling our industry-leading insight and consulting services to a broad range of different players in the TMT ecosystem.
You will report to the regional Sales Director and are focussed on driving new business opportunities in the assigned customer segments across South East Asia.
You will build a strategic sales plan for the region, having first gained a deep understanding of the market and Omdia’s target prospects. You will be tasked with sales planning and delivering sales results utilising your skillset and knowledge. However, you’re not alone and will be supported by the wider ecosystem of analysts, consultants, and account managers across the Omdia organisation, as well as the wider Informa Tech division in which Omdia sits.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and consultative salesperson to become involved in a rapidly growing business. We pride ourselves on maintaining the nimbleness of a start-up culture while benefiting from the resources of a global information industry leader.
Whilst this role offers the flexibility to work remotely through a hybrid working model, we also require this person to offer their flexibility of attending site when required, to suit the business need.
Responsibilities:
- Building and executing a new business development strategy for the given customer segment
- Identifying and engaging with new prospects within this remit to gain understanding of their specific challenges
- Working closely with an assigned set of existing customers to ensure ROI and subsequent continuation of services
- Achieving revenue targets, proactively responding to inbound inquiries and self-generated leads based on a deep market and product understanding
- Accurately positioning Omdia’s and Informa Tech’s services as a solution of these challenges
- Reporting accurate forecasting and performance metrics to key internal and external stakeholders, highlighting revenue risks and opportunities
- Work with the wider Omdia analyst and consulting teams to ensure that clients are delighted with the service they have received
- Work collaboratively with Informa Tech’s dedicated TMT media and events team to promote Informa Tech’s wider capabilities and solutions across the event and media portfolio
- Attending key Informa Tech and industry relevant competitor events
- 5+ years’ experience within a consultative B2B sales position
- A proven track record in new business, can identify new revenue opportunities and maximize product potential
- Confidence in articulating often complex propositions to multi-stakeholder buyers
- Good working knowledge of the TMT marketplace and the business models within it
- Prior sales experience in TMT markets research and advisory is an advantage, but not a must.
- Highly developed business acumen and the ability to understand the wider issues of the industry
- Strong presentation, communication, negotiation and closing skills
- Previous experience with Salesforce or a similar CRM
