Senior Account Executive

Are you a strategic thinker? Are you excellent at establishing a solid foundation for client success? The MedThink SciCom team is seeking a motivated individual who will become a key member of the account group. 

Position Requirements
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in the health sciences, marketing, or communications field

Experience: 
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in scientific communications and publication management/development in an agency or pharmaceutical company
  • Demonstrated leadership experience/potential

Objectives of this Role
  • The Senior Account Executive (SAE) supports the members of the account team by cultivating and maintaining solid relationships with clients, implementing and managing projects in a timely and efficient way, and by assuring top-level delivery to meet client expectations. This position will be responsible for developing, managing, and directing aspects of peer-reviewed publications and scientific communications for assigned accounts.
Position Responsibilities
  • Leads projects, from statement of work and kickoff through ensuring superior quality of final deliverable
  • Submits abstracts/posters/manuscripts and follows up on acceptance
  • Maintains publication details in publication management portals or other systems in a compliant manner as required by clients
  • Interfaces with clients and with appropriate support departments
  • Prepares and sends materials to client and service providers
  • Schedules and prepares materials for client meetings
  • Leads client status calls
  • Documents client contacts (via e-mail), requests (change orders), and meetings (conference reports) concisely and accurately
  • Works with PM to maintain status report and timelines
  • Keeps internal team apprised of client activities and needs
  • Manages project-related financials
  • Performs research, as needed, to assist with problem solving
  • Identifies and organizes growth opportunities within current client base
  • Keeps supervisor aware of all issues within client’s organization and within agency
 
The candidate should possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with publication management software (e.g., Datavision)
  • Excellent research/data entry skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Superior oral and written communications skills
  • Ability to manage numerous projects, requests, and responsibilities
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through
  • Superior ability to develop productive relationships with both internal and external colleagues
