The Role:

We are currently seeking a Senior Account Executive to join our growing team in any of the following locations - Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane.

This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate with a minimum of 2-3 years of PR experience and an interest in working with clients within the Corporate and Public Affairs area.

A Senior Account Executive (SAE) has greater responsibility for day-to-day support in executing client programs, and servicing clients. An SAE will regularly apply their broad base skills and knowledge of the sector they are working in and will start to be given mid-level client accountabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Be the go-to person for the client by staying current on your client’s businesses and industries, understand current trends and hot topics related to your clients
  • Be passionate about the media and understand how to build creative campaigns to resonate with different target audiences and journalists from different sectors
  • Play an active role in supporting the senior team members in implementing plans
  • Be passionate about coming up with great ideas, making use of insights, research and creative technology to bring your client’s products or services to life
  • Excellent written communication skills, helping to develop quality materials such as press releases, speeches, reviewer’s guides and feature pitches
  • Maintain relationships with prominent media members inside and outside your clients’ industries and stay current on any news that can be used for the benefit of clients
  • Stay updated on social media trends and build relationships with key influencers
  • Be detail-driven and efficient at creating professional meeting minutes, status reports, campaign summary reports and general account activity reports.
  • Constantly be on the lookout for new proactive opportunities for your clients and support the senior team members in winning new business within existing and potential clients; lead research projects and be able to provide accurate and precise research findings based on key insights as well as contribute to brainstorms
  • Be an effective team player and create an inclusive working environment that welcomes opinions, ideas and suggestions from all sources

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in PR, marketing, communications) or equivalent proven track record and achievements in the workplace
  • Prior experience in comparable communications consulting or corporate environment
  • Evidence of excellent verbal and written skills; background in communications at university or professional level; high energy level, enthusiasm, good organisational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office apps (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
