Senior Account Director

London, United Kingdom
Full-Time
SENIOR ACCOUNT DIRECTOR

Experienced corporate agency professional

ABOUT YOU

We’re on the hunt for an experienced Senior Account Director, with ESG experience, to help take our growing corporate reputation team to the next level. At Zeno London we work with some the UK’s best-loved brands, building and protecting reputations. We firmly believe a company’s corporate identity is the soul of any business, and while we’re a diverse bunch, we’re united by a passion for compelling corporate storytelling.

We’re looking for a candidate who’s excited about business, curious about the world that we live in, thinks a bit differently and understands how to navigate complex stakeholder landscapes.

We want people who are experienced in communicating to different audiences, have a handle on the evolving digital and media landscape and are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. We like people who hustle, champion smart, tenacious ways of working and are interested in growing and expanding their client remits.

We are always keen to hear from people with different backgrounds but brilliant aptitude for problem solving and a solid grasp of the world of brand and communications is key. Ideally you will have worked in a global agency environment, with experience in managing new business proposals and in delivering strategic counsel to clients.

Sound like you?

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Senior Account Director you will report directly to the leadership team of the practice, taking an active role in growing the client portfolio and the careers of the more junior members of the team.

You will have strategic oversight of the account but also be across the detail, ensuring the client feels they’re in safe hands. Results oriented, you will be responsible for delivering against an agreed scope, managing budgets and servicing as well as mucking in with the team to get the job done.

You will have a mix of clients including huge brands like Coca-Cola, Amazon and Lenovo but will also play a vital role in the development of the Corporate Reputation practice, generating new business leads, brainstorming ideas, drafting proposals, pitching and growing existing business.

You’ll also need to be focused on coaching and developing the people in your team. You will have direct reports and be responsible for their career development and growth at Zeno.

In the Corporate team we work collaboratively with other teams in the agency including consumer and tech so there are always opportunities to work cross-team.

Other requirements for the role are:

Corporate agency background, ideally with global experience

Client experience and knowledge that includes a mix of:  FMCG (ideally food and drink), trade/stakeholder comms, issues and crisis, CSR/Sustainability and a channel agnostic approach enabling integrated thinking

Experience in integrated campaign development, multi-market management and executive leadership profiling is preferred

Able to lead and motivate teams to deliver best results, taking an interest in people development

Maintain quality control and high standards across accounts

Confidence in delivering fast-paced and robust counsel to senior clients

Able to produce client plans and new business proposals with minimal supervision

And a cracking sense of humour of course…!

Our corporate reputation team is growing fast so there’s lots of opportunity for development in this role and within the broader agency.
