Back Market is hiring a

Seller Success Operations Manager

Bordeaux, France
Full-Time
Back Market is the world’s leading refurbished electronics marketplace with a team of 650 people, powering operations in 21 countries (and counting!).

Named one of the World's Most Innovative Companies by Fast Company in 2019 and again in 2021, our mission is simple: empowering people to consume tech sustainably by offering folks a high quality, accessible, and more eco-friendly alternative to buying new electronics. Why? Refurbished tech helps lower our collective environmental impact. We have indeed contributed to avoid the production of more than 1,000,000 tons of CO2e worldwide since our launch in 2014.

Be part of an exciting and growing international adventure that will change the way the world consumes tech.

At Back Market, the Seller Success team is responsible for developing the seller base and ensuring that sellers succeed on the platform, selling the highest-quality refurbished products at the best price to meet growing demand.

The Seller Success Operations Manager will lead projects in line with the team’s mission to drive scale, efficiency and business results by enabling seller-facing teams to focus on high-value tasks. This is a business-critical individual contributor role with a growth path toward becoming a go-to expert within the Seller Success team.

YOUR MISSION (IF YOU ACCEPT IT): 🏅

  • Enable change management by running battlegrounds: build the trackers, processes & resources to help SellerS team members get sellers onboarded quickly when we roll out impactful changes for sellers across compliance, finance, catalog, and more.
  • Set goals, measure progress and communicate effectively to drive energy around roadmap priorities (e.g. new Product releases requiring sellers to take action, new Back Market requirements or services) and facilitate knowledge and skills development among the seller success team so they can best support sellers.
  • Lead incident management efforts: troubleshoot, size and mitigate the impact on sellers and propose structural solutions to make processes more robust and improve seller satisfaction (e.g. payment or security incidents, bugs, regulatory changes)
  • Be an operational partner to the Head of US Seller Success to unleash business opportunities  (e.g. unblock at category level, EU expansion opportunities, fulfillment solutions) and ensure smooth ways of working across geographies and teams.
  • Understand the cost of doing business at Back Market vs competitors and run sales enablement tools so SellerS team members can understand and help their sellers improve their margins through targeted action plans.
  • Lead projects defined on a quarterly basis in line with the sellers operations team mission to find efficiencies and implement automations so we never send a human to do a machine’s job, collaborating with other divisions as needed (e.g. Product, Catalog, Quality, Operations, Services)

YOU ARE IN THE RIGHT PLACE IF: ⭐

  • You’re highly data savvy and analytical, with an attention to detail and an advanced level on Excel. A solid understanding of SQL and other programming languages is a plus.
  • You have a deep understanding of Salesforce as well as experience implementing processes and automations on a sales tech stack
  • You’re action- and solution-oriented with a track record of successful project management, communicating effectively with diverse stakeholders at all levels of the company
  • You love to roll up your sleeves and dig into data and processes, but you have the business acumen to know how to prioritise and simplify in line with company OKRs
  • You have 3-6 years of relevant experience, preferably in a sales operations, operations, process manager or business analyst role
  • You are fluent in English. French speaking is a plus!
  • An understanding of the e-commerce, marketplace or retail environment is a big plus.
