About the role....

This is a great opportunity for a detail oriented individual to join Inari’s Seed Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing Inari’s seed inventory - fulfilling seed requests, on-boarding externally procured seed, and maintaining both physical and electronic inventories. You will be a driving force for process improvements within the inventory management and the seed request process through collaboration with seed recipients, legal, regulatory, and commercial stakeholders. Additionally, your ability to handle domestic and international seed shipments will contribute to the seamless operations of our business. This position is based in West Lafayette, IN.

As a Seed Operations Associate you will…

  • Support the Seed Operations team to provide inventory management of Inari’s seed inventory
  • Coordinate the seed request process to ascertain team needs, supply, legal and regulatory requirements
  • Distribute seed internally based on requests received, inventory, and established priorities
  • Interact with multiple teams across departments to meet deadlines and company goals related to seed acquisition and distribution
  • Ship seed domestically and internationally, compliant with Inari policies and all federal, state, and local laws
  • Support other functions with compliance requirements such as obtaining phytosanitary certificates related to seed movement
  • Manage and order supplies as needed
  • Further process development and continuous improvement for seed inventory and usage mapping, and onboarding efficiency improvements

 

You Bring:

  • A bachelor’s degree in agronomy, plant science, biology or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven experience in seed inventory management.
  • Experience shipping seed domestically and internationally with strong knowledge of customs requirements, phytosanitary requirements, and USDA regulations
  • Experience integrating processes and systems together
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with the ability to manage several projects simultaneously
  • Experience utilizing seed inventory management software
  • A strong sense of purpose and drive to develop unique, high impact solutions
  • Ability to effectively communicate with a diverse range of individuals and audiences
  • Adaptability and enthusiasm for new challenges, innate curiosity, and a passion for learning
  • Creative and strategic thinking, willingness to be bold and take risks, and the ability to recognize and learn from failure
  • A collaborative mindset that is open to giving and receiving ideas, perspectives, and feedback
  • Ability to work both independently and deliver on responsibilities within a highly collaborative environment
  • Ability to lift and move 50 lbs

 

A bonus if:

  • Experience in international seed shipping
  • Experience using PRISM
  • Microsoft integration experience
