We are seeking a talented and experienced Security Operations Specialist to work for our client in Tallin, Estonia

Job Responsibilities

The present technical specifications address needs for support services in the Cyber Security Operations Sector in the Security Unit related to:

  • Definition and preparation of security configuration and operations standards and procedures for security systems and applications
  • Support for the validation and review of baseline security configurations and benchmarks
  • Supporting the execution of internal and external technical control and vulnerability assessments and security audits
  • Supporting the execution of network and application penetration tests
  • Supporting the execution of source code reviews
  • Supporting security monitoring and incident response
  • Supporting security engineering activities
  • Supporting the design and implementation of technical security mechanisms and technologies
  • Monthly service reports and other relevant security related documentation on running the activities ( security configuration and operations standards and procedures defined and validated, Vulnerability management, Penetration testing and vulnerability assessments, Technical controls implemented and engineered)

Job Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proficiency in defining and preparing security configuration and operations standards and procedures for security systems and applications, including policy assessment and compliance tools, network security appliances, and host-based security systems, in alignment with EU Commission standards and practices.
  • Experience in validating and reviewing baseline security configurations and benchmarks, adhering to EU Commission standards and practices.
  • Knowledge of conducting internal and external technical control and vulnerability assessments and security audits following ISO 27001 standards.
  • Familiarity with executing network and application penetration tests.
  • Ability to perform source code reviews to identify potential vulnerabilities.
  • Experience in supporting security monitoring and incident response activities in accordance with NIST 800-61 guidelines.
  • Proficient in supporting security engineering activities and contributing to the design and implementation of technical security mechanisms and technologies.
  • Capability to provide assistance in the formal accreditation process for information systems handling EU sensitive and classified information.
  • Willingness to undertake any other security and safety-related tasks as required.
  • Language skills: Proficiency in English.
