JOB TITLE: Security Officer
LOCATION: UBS Asset Management, 21 Lombard Street, London
PAY RATE: £14.19 per hour
SHIFT PATTERN: 4 ON 4 OFF - 7 am to 7 pm, 48 hours per week
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Access Control: Monitor and control access to the site, ensuring only authorized personnel enter the premises. Manage the security of entrances, gates, and doors.
- Loading Bay Management: Supervise the loading bay area, ensuring all deliveries and collections are conducted safely and in accordance with company policies.
- Patrol: Conduct regular patrols of the premises, ensuring security measures are adhered to, identifying potential hazards or security breaches, and reporting them as necessary.
- General Security Officer Duties: Provide visible security presence, assist with emergencies, and respond to incidents as required. Record and report any irregularities or suspicious activities.
- Monitoring Systems: Operate security systems, including CCTV, alarm systems, and access control systems. Ensure equipment is functioning correctly.
- Reporting: Maintain detailed and accurate reports of all incidents, inspections, and security-related activities, submitting reports to the Dual Services Manager as required.
- Customer Interaction: Assist staff and visitors with any security-related queries and ensure a safe and secure environment.
- Emergency Response: Respond to emergencies such as fire alarms, medical incidents, or security breaches, ensuring appropriate action is taken in accordance with procedures.
Person Specification:
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently and use initiative. Reliable and responsible with a flexible approach to work.
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to maintaining a safe and secure environment.
- Ability to quickly adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced operational environment.
- Able to work without constant supervision, following management instructions and protocols.
- Reliable, professional, and flexible.
- Proven ability to maintain professionalism in appearance and conduct when interacting with staff, clients, and visitors.
Essential:
- Valid Security Licence AND CCTV Licence
- Ability to provide a 5-year checkable referencing history.
- Previous experience in security or a similar role is preferred.
- Ability to remain calm and make decisions in high-pressure situations.
- Physical fitness for the role, including the ability to perform regular patrols.
- Strong understanding of security procedures and emergency response protocols.

- Ability to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner while adhering to the company’s expectations, rules, and safety protocols.
- Maintain professionalism in appearance and behavior towards coworkers, clients, and any individuals within the site and work location.
