Security Intelligence Manager

Control Risks is seeking a highly skilled Security Intelligence Manager to lead our intelligence team. This pivotal role will involve overseeing the collection, analysis, and dissemination of security-related intelligence to ensure the safety and operational continuity of our clients' business activities, with a particular focus on those related to the security landscape in Mexico, especially in the state of Michoacán. The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of geopolitical dynamics and experience in risk analysis. This position will be directly tied to a specific client project, and the contract will be linked to the duration and scope of that engagement.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing intelligence strategies to anticipate and mitigate security threats.
  • Supervising a team of analysts to conduct thorough research and analysis on geopolitical events and emerging risks.
  • Producing comprehensive reports and briefings for executive stakeholders and clients.
  • Engaging with external partners and governmental organizations to gather relevant intelligence.
  • Providing leadership and direction to the intelligence team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Conducting regular assessments of existing processes and recommending enhancements as necessary.
  • Training and mentoring junior analysts in intelligence collection and analytical methodologies.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will meet the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, International Relations, Security Studies, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in security intelligence, risk management, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in leading teams and managing complex projects within a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, with a strong ability to synthesize data and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • A high level of proficiency with intelligence analysis tools and methodologies.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
  • A deep understanding of geopolitical trends and security issues affecting global businesses.
