About the role

The 10x Security team is responsible for the secure design and operation of the 10x platform along with securing the wider 10x organisation. Both the platform and the organisation are using the latest technologies and working practices to provide world class service to our clients and colleagues. We provide “bank grade” security but with latest technology, genuinely agile delivery, and without the legacy technology issues facing most banks.

The Security Consultant will be responsible for ensuring best practise with regards to security is upheld and improved. The Security Consultant will be working with key stakeholders and the latest tools and technologies to achieve the goals of the business.

This is a 6 month contract position which will have a Statement of Work with specific deliverables in place. This position is considered to be outside of IR35.

Preferably available ASAP for 2024 start.

Note: mandatory shut-down between 16 December 2024 - 2 January 2025.

Requirements

  • Past and relevant experience as a security consultant operating at mid-manager level
  • Strong security knowledge of AWS/Kubernetes based solutions
  • Ability to work with both the development and platform teams to review designs to identify security risks and controls
  • Ability to threat model cloud-based designs
  • Ability to contribute/prepare security reference design for cloud-based environments (AWS/GCP/Azure)
  • Understanding of risk & compliance processes such as ISO 27001 and SOC2
  • Ability to find pragmatic solutions to enable the business while maintaining an appropriate security posture
  • Familiarity with agile processes

Benefits

Day rate: up to £650 per day full time (8 hours a day, 5 days a week)

Working location to be determined between successful person and function lead. Assumed to be 1-2 days a week in the office.
