Your Impact 

The mission of Axon's Trust and Security group is to make our cloud services and connected devices the most trusted platform for the public safety market. We do so by making and upholding commitments to security, privacy and compliance.

You’ll help Axon tackle novel and critical compliance challenges across our entire customer-facing product ecosystem as well as our internal corporate operations to ensure we’re always at the forefront in fulfilling our commitment to protecting privacy for all global Axon Customers and the communities they serve.

 


What You’ll Do

Location: Scottsdale, AZ (Hybrid coming into the office at least 2x per week.)
Reports to: Senior Security Program Manager 
Direct Reports: None

Help us bring cloud computing to law enforcement by joining the information security team at Axon. Be on the cutting edge of cloud computing security in a very challenging and innovative environment. We need a high-energy, motivated security compliance analyst to engage with customers on modern cloud and IoT data protection issues and lead assurance activities including execution of our region specific cloud service authorizations and data protection activities.

  • Coordinate personnel security background checks across internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Define, monitor and report on progress for operational compliance metrics.
  • Identify and implement process improvements
  • Participate in periodic compliance activities, and manage any resulting remediation actions.
  • Stay current on security industry trends, attack techniques, mitigation techniques, and security technologies by attending conferences, networking with peers, and other educational opportunities.
  • Perform various quality reviews and update compliance information systems with data pertaining to non-compliance/escalations/remediations.
  • Assist in identifying compliance risks and implement compliance monitoring efforts to further identify gaps and or issues for escalation to managers and propose process improvements and enhancements.
  • Creation and maintenance of internal and customer facing documentation, policies, and white papers.
  • Provide expert advice, guidance and thought leadership to internal and external stakeholders.

 

What You Bring

  • 1+ years managing personnel security or working in a human resource coordination capacity
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and strong communications skills
  • Willingness to learn and dive deeper into security, privacy and compliance
  • Ability to work efficiently and independently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Some travel may be required to engage with regulators and auditors

Preferred

  • Experience in Industrial Security Management
  • 1 year experience in an information security or compliance related role, such as security analyst, auditor, or compliance analyst

The Pay: Axon is a total compensation company, meaning compensation is made up of base pay, bonus, and stock awards. The starting base pay for this role is between USD 69,600 in the lowest geographic market and USD 111,360 in the highest geographic market. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: level, function, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, geographic market, and often a combination of all these factors.
